Set up email on Android
How to set up your Android smartphone to use your Mail inbox:
If you haven't set up an account in the Email app yet, enter your email address and password . Then tap Sign In .
If you already have an account set up in the Mail app, tap More > Settings . Tap Add New Account in the menu.
If you want to read and receive e-mails on the go, set up the IMAP account type. If you only manage your e-mails on your PC, POP3 is the right choice.
Please note: The setup of the e-mail account is described using the Samsung GALAXY S6 smartphone model with Android 6.0.1 as an example. The menu items listed below may differ on other Android models.
Step 1
Launch the Email app.If you haven't set up an account in the Email app yet, enter your email address and password . Then tap Sign In .
If you already have an account set up in the Mail app, tap More > Settings . Tap Add New Account in the menu.

Enter your email address and password. Then tap Manual setup .

Choose the type of account you want. You can choose between the following account types:- pop3 account
- IMAP account
- Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
We recommend using the default IMAP account.
If you want to read and receive e-mails on the go, set up the IMAP account type. If you only manage your e-mails on your PC, POP3 is the right choice.

Now enter your account data and make the necessary settings or details for the incoming and outgoing server. See the table below for more information. Then tap Sign In.
